Carlick, Wayne

Wayne Carlick, born 1958 in Atlin, British Columbia, Canada, is a member of the Raven Clan, and is from the Xooxhitan House. A member of the Tlingit/Tahltan Nation, he began his career in 1992 working with Tahltan/Tlingit carver Dempsey Bob. Between 1993-97, he worked with Tsimshian/Tahltan/Tlingit carver James Lewis on several large poles. In 1998, he made a 35-foot red cedar seagoing canoe. Wayne also leads a dance group that puts on two to three performances a day in the summer.
