Edwards, Floyd

Floyd Edwards is a member of the Coast Salish First Nations, originating from the Penelakut Band. He was born in Chemainus and grew up on the Penelakut Reserve near Kuper Island, British Columbia. He started carving in 1996, Floyd is a patriarch, teacher and elder. He has taught his sons and grandchildren carving techniques and they are fast becoming well known carvers in their own right. Floyd is grateful for his father who taught him carving skills and the culture and traditions. He enjoys carving the different wildlife of the Northwest Coast.
