LaFortune, Howard Jr.
Howard LaFortune Jr. is a member of the Coast Salish First Nation, originating from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. He comes from a large family of master artists and credits his father (Howard LaFortune Sr.) and his uncles, Tom and Doug LaFortune for his skills. He love to keep the family tradition alive and is known to work in very clean lines with traditional colors and styles. Howard currently resides with his wife and children on Vancouver Island.
After taking a break from carving, he realized he missed it to much and decided to get back into it. Howard loves, and mainly work red and yellow cedar. He is a highly talented young man, and we are honoured to present his art in our gallery.
