Have a close look - the carving lines are really deep, the artist spent many hours working on this piece. cedar, painted in traditional red and black, great expression, it's an older piece, highes quality craftsmanship by Rick. Signed at the back, carved in the front, made and prepared for wall hanging, hanger already attached.

Measurements: 12" x 9" x 3/4" (31 x 23 x 2 cm)

Meaning: is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warrior's e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection. In Haida culture the Bear is referred to as "Elder Kinsman" and was treated like a high ranking guest.
