Lidded hand crafted and hand carved BOX, by Kwakiulth First Nation female master artist Sarah Robertson

This box is carved on all 4 sides, showing the THUNDERBIRD, the EAGLE, the RAVEN and the OWL

The gorgeous box is carved all around, on all 4 sides, the painting in powerful black and red against the gorgeous yellow of the sugar pine, so clean with very deep lines. The expression and detailing in each bird itself is fabulous. It's signed underneath.  Sarah is fully hand crafting these boxes and loves to leave some pencil lines inside. They could be easily erased but I'll leave that up to you. I think it just adds to the character of the pieces.
