BEAR pendant

by Kwagiulth First Nation jewelry artist Patrick (Paddy) Seaweed. The details are really incredible, Paddy always puts so much love and work into every piece of his jewelry. 

Measurements: 2" x 1 1/2" (chain is not included)

Meaning: The Bear is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warriors e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection. In Haida culture the Bear is referred to as "Elder Kinsman" and was treated like a high-ranking guest.
