This little Eagle mask is not new, but in great condition and looks simply fabulous
It's hand carved, hand painted and adorned with cedar bark by the Kwakwakaw' wakw First Nation artis Willie Hawkins.
The quality is great - the carving clean and the expression powerful. Vibrant colors used. This little eagle does have some minor signs of gentle handling and aging, have a close look at the pictures please, especially on the cedar bark.
Cedar wood, cedar rope and feather decoration, super piece of Indigenous Art from the North American native country on the Pacifc Northwest Coast of British Columbia.
Measurements: 14" x 6 1/2" x 6" (incl. cedar)
Meaning: The Eagle symbolizes grace, power and great intellect. It is a sacred and noble creature representing power and prestige to the First Nations people of the Northwest Coast. It symbolizes wisdom and has a special and direct connection to the creator. Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost. Eagle feathers are used in the most important ceremonies, a display of respect, courage, Chieftainship and wisdom. The Eagle is the ruler of sky.
