Old, authentic, and fabulous!
Hawk Portrait Mask by the adopted Kwakulth Artist Stomish from Nanaimo British Columbia, Vancouver Island.
North American, Indigenous Art at it's best. Really nice quality, the eyes are decorated with large pieces of copper which gives this mask a powerful expression. The painting is kept traditional - nice piece of cedar wood. This is an older piece, it's dated 1999, but it sure is an excellent and high quality piece of art. This mask would look fabulous in a wooden frame.... just an idea.... it's made and prepared for wall hanging. Since it's not a new piece, it does show some minor signs of gentle handling and aging, please have a close look, as always, I'm providing close-up pictures.
