Gorgeous and large Grizzly Bear wall art carving by Squamish First Nation artist Shane Flood Baker. As always, easy recognizable as one of Shane's pieces of art - super clean and beautiful piece of yellow cedar, knife-carved - not sanded. I really like this technique since it truly shows the craftsmenship and quality and work the artist puts into it. The painting is superb iin traditional colors - a very impressive piece! The images don't do it justice! Carved on one side, signed and dated at the back - prepared for wall hanging

Measurements: 24" (2 ft) tall, 9" wide, 1" thick (61 x 23 x 2.5 cm)

Meaning: The Bear is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warrior's e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection.
