Sea Serpent (Sisiutl) 

wall art carving by Silas Coon, a master artist from Kingcome Inlet, member of the Kwakwakaw' wakw First Nation. He clearly love this art form - you can see it on all the details he puts into it - the inlays, the clean painting and the incredibly detailed carving, he pays so much attention to any little corner - the carving lines are so clean. He used pine, stained it and painted it in a copper color. Carved in front, signed at the back, made and ready for wall hanging. 

Meaning: The Sisiutl is a symbol for healing power and magic. It's closely associated with war and strength, the Sisiutl is known to be invulnerable and to provide protection from harm

Measurements: 19" x 4 3/4" x 1" (48 x 12 x 2.5 cm)
