Richly inlaid with Abalone, beautifull clean piece of yellow cedar, flat grain. precise carving, gorgeous flow, superb craftsmanship!! The body of the salmon is inlaid with 21 pieces (!!!) of Abalone (Mother of pearl). This piece is so elegant. It's "washed/stained" in a nice blue, still showing the natural grain of the wood - it's just so beautiful. Signed at the back, carved in front, prepared for wall hanging. Just a superb example of art from the North American First Nations (Pacific Northwest)
