Another gorgeous piece of Art by First Nations master artist Gino Seward from the Kwakiulth First Nations just arrived in our native Art gallery:
EAGLE
This is a massive piece of wood, very deep carving lines, the natural grain is accentuated through the stain, it just makes it look so beautiful!! As always, Gino's Eagles are really majestic and elegant at the same time - very powerful. It's signed at the back with Gino's carved Initials, carved in front, also, it's prepared for wall hanging. Finest North American art - Gino doesn't sand his pieces much so that you can see his knife-marks - it's just visible how much work he put's into them. It's so thick, it does stand on it's own and also looks good on the fireplace mantle....
Meaning: The Eagle symbolizes grace, power and great intellect. It is a sacred and noble creature representing power and prestige to the First Nations people of the
Measurements: 16" x 8" x 1 1/2" (42 x 20 x 4 cm)
