Sea Otter (new design) wall art carving by the First Nations Artist Shane Baker from the Squamish Tribe of the Coast Salish First Nation. 

As always, very fine and clean lines of carving, detailed with lots of attention to the expression of the Otter, playful and alive. Stained in a nice soft and washed brown, clean painting in traditional colors, simply highest quality in every aspect! Made and prepared for wall hanging, carved in front, signed and dated at the back, hanger already attached. 

Measurements: 16" x 6" x 1/2" (40 x 15 x 2 cm)

Meaning: The Otter is a symbol for intelligence, resourcefulness and playfulness. They are seen as a symbol of laughter and light-heartedness. They are known to be accomplished fisher, and therefore often are depicted with a fish
