Thunderbird with Chief Blue Berry in it's mouth

cedar wall art carving, by master artist Rupert Jeffrey from the Skeena River. Rupert used old red cedar for this carving, painted in traditional red and black with some vibrant blue, he inlaid the eye of the thunderbird and carved a little, very detailed "Blue Berry Chief" in the mouth of the Thunderbird.

The carving lines are very clean, you can clearly see the many years of experience Rupert has Just a gorgeous and authentic piece of Indigenous Art. Carved in front, signed at the back, made and prepared for wall hanging. 

Measurements: 17 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 1/2" (44.5 x 29 x 0.75 cm)

Meaning: The Thunderbird symbolizes supernatural power and is believed to be the dominating force behind all of natures doings. It's a mythical creature and only the most prestigious and powerful Chiefs are allowed to have the Thunderbird as a crest
