Another absolutely highest quality piece of Indigenous Art
3 ft large CRANE with SALMON with human spirit and little FROG
by master artist Detreck George, a very well known artist from the Coast Salish First Nations on Vancouver Island, Canada.
Detreck used a nice, large piece of yellow cedar, hand carved it in superb detail, just have a close look at the little fish or the little adorable frog on it's leg - just wonderful expression. He hand painted the cedar, then sanded, stained and polished it. It's carved in front, signed at the back, made and prepared for wall hanging.
Measurements: 36" x 8" x 1" (91.5 x 20 x 2.5 cm)
Meaning: The Heron/Crane is believed to bring good luck in many Native American tribes, especially on the Northwest Coast. If a fisherman see’s a heron, it is a promising sign for a successful fishing trip. Heron are highly respected for their patience but sometimes also associated with vanity – always tempted to fall for flattery.
