What an amazing piece - please really have a close look at the quality of this little pendant
EAGLE pendant/necklace
by master artist Johnathan Henderson from the Campbell River Band. This piece was just as much, if not more, work than a large frontlet. The abalone inlays are masterfully done in the wings of the eagle and the rim. You can see that John has many years of experience and the best teachers, combined with a lot of talent for this artwork. This piece is dated 1999, it's carved out of yellow cedar.
This piece is a true gem! A treat for every collector - very RARE!!!
Signed at the back, comes with leather band
Measurements: 2 1/2" x 2" x 1 1/4" (6.5 x 5 x 3 cm)
Meaning: Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost. Eagle feathers are used in the most important ceremonies, a display of respect, courage, Chieftainship and wisdom. The Eagle is the ruler of sky.
