Another great piece of art from a great artist: A real Gem! Superb quality

Kingfisher, catching little salmon

by artist Detreck George from the Coast Salish First Nation, Duncan, BC, Vancouver Island.

He used a nice piece of yellow cedar, stained and hand painted it after carving in great details. The expression is wonderful. Just a great piece to start or add to any collection. It also makes a great gift. It's signed at the back, made and prepared for wall hanging.

Measurements: 23" x 8" x 1/2"

Meaning: Kingfisher is seen as a messenger of good luck to come. Kingfisher are very bold in their actions, the kingfisher will dive headlong into the water to catch small fish. It teaches us how to plunge into the unknown with confidence and not with fear. It is a symbol for success and prosperity
