Another absolutely beautiful, high quality piece of Indigenous Art by Coast Salish First Nation artist Detreck George
Salmon Sculpture, carved all around, free standing.
Gorgeous yellow cedar - so clean and bright. The carving lines are superb, showing Detreck's many years of experience and his love for the craft. He kept the painting in the traditional red and black, Have a look, although the images don't do it justice.
Measurements: 18" x 6" x 2" (46 x 15 x 5 cm)
Meaning: The Salmon symbolizes prosperity, renewal and fertility. They are one of the most important and highest respected animals of all since they have been the primary food source from the beginning of time to the Northwest Coast First Nations.
