RAVEN
wall art carving, gorgeous carving and expression, the black-blue stain really captures the color of the raven. The raven is clearly showing some sadness/mourning position - Brian used Sitka Spruce for this piece which shows the grain accentuated through the stain. It's polished, very clean lines of carving - clearly made by a master of this art. It's carved in the front, made and prepared for wall hanging, signed at the back.
Measurements: 18" x 7" x 1/2"
Meaning: The Raven is basically known to be the transformer, trickster and creator. In the Kwakwaka'wakw culture the Raven is known as the messenger of the sky and famous for being a somewhat mischievous glutton. He's always out to please himself and to have a good time but he is also known to mourn loved ones. He's very adventurous.
