So elegant,

gorgeous 3D Heron Sculpture by master artist Doug Horne from the Coast Salish First Nation

Graceful patience - absolutely incredible expression. So easy recognizable as a piece of art by Doug. He truly captures the spirit of the heron, patiently waiting. You can clearly see the knife marks on the sculpture, just adds to the quality and shows the work the artist puts into it. It's signed underneath.

Measurements: 16" x 5" x 3" (41 x 12.5 x 7.5 cm)

Meaning: Herons are symbols of good luck and patience in many Native American tribes, especially on the Northwest Coast, if Native American fishermen see a heron, it is a good sign for a successful fishing trip. Like cranes, herons are also sometimes associated with vanity and a weakness for flattery.
