RAVEN AND SUN PORTRAIT Mask
Very vibrant colors, the carving and the painting are both close to perfection. You can clearly see the many years of experience of this art as well as the love for this art. Janice always pays so much attention to details. Did you see the Raven's claws? The expression in the sun's face is just wonderful. The painting, even though just 3 colors used, is so rich and really powerful. The face is adorned with lots of cedar bark as well as cedar rope. Janice used Bass wood for this mask. The Raven's wings are seen spreading on each side of the face. Really a remarkable piece. The eyes are inlaid with abalone (mother of pearl)
Measurements: 13" x 13" x 8", total height incl. cedar bark approx. 30"
