Title: The owl - messenger of positivity - by master artist Kolten Khasalus Grant from the house of Lilawagila from Gwa'yi (Kingcome Inlet)

In the artists own words: "The desing is from a Tlingit ceremonial box. Represented in this piece are multiple animals and entities, including RAVEN, KILLER WHALE and OWL.

It represents the person or chiefs family crests from their creation story. The purpose of this is to allow the ancestors to look through as if it is a window. The curves on the design only allow positive energy to come through, filtering negativity. As fas as the colors used: The negative space meaning the bare wood is TIME, the black is the UNIVERSE and the red is the BLOOD of my ancestors to get me where I am today"

Measurements: 32"
