WOLF wall art carving, by Kwakiulth First Nation artist Sarah Robertson

Another gorgeous piece of art by a First Nation artist with many years of experience. Sarah used sugar- pine for this beautiful piece, the carving lines are precise, clean and deep, the painting in traditional red and black is powerful and makes this piece really rich in expression. She stained in after painting and polished it. Just another piece by Sarah that clearly shows her female touch and her love and talent for this art.

Measurements: 13 1/2" x 7" x 1/2" (35 x 20 x 1.5 cm)

Meaning: The Wolf represents loyalty, strong family ties, good communication, education, understanding and intelligence. Of all land animals, the Wolf has the strongest supernatural powers and is the most accomplished hunter. The Wolf is a very social and communicative creature; he uses body movement, touch and sound.
