Another gorgeous piece by a very talented artist

Gorgeous red cedar Salmon and Raven model paddle by Neil Baker from the Squamish Nation.

Very detailed and clean carving lines. Have a look at this beautiful piece of red cedar. Truly remarkable. The painting is close to perfection, the expression is playful and full of energy. Very vibrant colors. Neil just puts tremendous effort and work into every piece of his art.

Measurements: 24 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 1"

Meaning: The Raven is known to be the transformer, trickster and creator. In the Kwakwaka'wakw culture the Raven is known as the messenger of the sky and famous for being a somewhat mischievous glutton. He's always out to please himself and to have a good time. He's very adventurous. The Salmon symbolizes prosperity, renewal and fertility. They are one of the most important and highest respected animals of all since they have been the primary food source from the beginning of time to the Northwest Coast First Nations.
