This is an absolutely spectacular piece of Indigenous Art carving

SEA OTTER with urchin by George Nookemus, a member of the Huu-ay-aht (Nuu-chah-nulth) First Nation. George was born in Port Alberni

Solid piece of red cedar, signed, painted and stained and polished, dated 1997, inlaid with Abalone - just have a look... it's truly an impressive piece. George definitely had a great love for the otter, he always carved them in such great detail and with such a playful and beautiful expression. Since this piece is not new, it does show some tiny signs of gentle handling/aging but is in excellent condition.

Measurements: 26" long (!!!), 13" tall and 2" thick
