Now here is another masterpiece of true Indigenous Art from the First Nations of the Pacific Northwest
3 dimensional Sea Wolf Sculpture
Fully hand carved, designed and hand painted by artist John Henry Hunt from the Kwakiulth First Nations on Vancouver Island.
The carving on this piece is so outstanding. Just think about all the hours John Hendy spent on the design, the carving, the painting - just incredible. You really have to have a lot of love and patience for the art and for the history of the First Nations peoples.
Did you see all the details? I can almost guarantee you didn't, at least not at the first look. I will provide many detailed pictures from every side and angle, have a close look. The Sea wolf is eating a Seal - did you see it? The head is on one side, the tail on the other side of the wolf's mouth. The fin is fully carved, again, showing a wolf spirit. the tail is showing a human. The Sea wolf also does have a blowhole which is shown as a little face on top. Signed underneath.
Measurements: 19" x 5 1/2" x 11 1/2" (to top of fin)
