Adorable Mother LOON with BABY swimming in the morning mist
art carving by Nootka Master artist Brian Bob - it's free standing and looks fabulous e.g. standing on the fireplace mantle - but also looks great on the wall. Beautiful dark stain to accentuate the natural grain of the wood. Various spots of gray which depicts the morning mist the two, mother and baby are swimming in, as Brian tells the story.
Very deep carving, the eyes are inlaid with abalone (mother of pearl), gorgeous flow, superb craftsmanship!! Signed at the back - carved in the front, just a powerful and gorgeous piece, depicting love and patience. So detailed. Also prepared for wall hanging.
Measurements: 21" x 10 1/2" x 1 1/2"
Meaning: The Loon symbolizes serenity and tranquility. They teach us to listen to and learn from our dreams, because if you believe in them, the might come true and your hopes and wishes will be fulfilled.
