If you are looking for a unique and special gift for christmas - well, it doesn't get much better than these little pendants (see also the hummingbird pendant listed earlier)

Adorable BEAR pendant, hand carved, hand painted, designed and signed by Coast Salish master artist Bear (Doug) Horne.

A real gem. This little bear is hand carved out of yellow beautiful cedar, very deep and clean carving lines, very elegant in expression, easy recognizable as Bear's artwork. He signed and dated it at the back. It looks great with a black leather band (not included). Did you have a close look? Even the hanger is carved out of this one piece of cedar - most artists are adding a metal hanger/hook and screw it in - no, Bear even carved the hanger - just superb quality all around!

Measurements: 4 1/2" x 2" x 1/2" (11.5 cm x 5 cm x 1.5 cm)

MeaningThe Bear is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warrior's e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection. In Haida culture the Bear is referred to as "Elder Kinsman" and was treated like a high ranking guest.

Note: overseas shipping costs ($45) added at check-out
