Gorgeous HOK-HOK, on base by the Kwakiulth First Nation artist Sarah Robertson, born in Kingcome Inlet, British Columbia's Pacific Northwest Coast.

excellent carving and painting all around. Sarah "white washed" this piece - it's solid cedar wood. The Hok-Hok's head is adorned with traditional bark and rope from the cedar tree. The mask is standing on a pine base, painted black. It can be taken off easy. It's signed by the artis. it's a new piece and just arrived in our gallery. Signed by the artist. 

Measurements:  16" long, 4" wide, 10" high when in base, can be taken out of base easy 

Meaning: The Huk-Huk (or Hok-Hok) is one of the mythological Hamatsa (Cannibal dance) birds.
