Another absolutely fabulous piece of Indigenous art - truly highest quality and simply: Beautiful!
Blue Heron - so graceful, by world wide known First Nation artist Bear (Doug) Horne from the Coast Salish First Nations.
large wall art carving, fully hand carved, painted in vibrant blue-grey with white accents and frame - absolutely stunning. As always, easy recognizable as one of Bear's artwork, just so elegant. The expression is stunning, warm, lovely and just gorgeous.
You can clearly see all the knife marks on this solid piece of yellow cedar. just a proof of the many hours and days it takes to finish such a piece. So much work went into it. On the right side of the piece is a natural knot in the wood. It could easy be covered with white paint, but Bear just loved it, it gives the piece even more character and shows the natural beauty.
It's signed at the back, made and prepared for wall hanging, hanger already attached.
