Hand carved ceremonial RAVEN Dance RATTLE, on wooden Stand
The rattle is fully hand carved, hand painted, filled with little stones, excellent carving and painting all around on each side. The Raven's head is decorated with traditional bark and rope from the cedar tree. These dance rattles are very important and present at any potlatch ceremony. The sound is powerful. It's sitting on a natural wooden (pine) base with a large peg and can be taken off easy. It's signed underneath the base

Meaning: The Raven is known to be the transformer, trickster and creator. In the Kwakwaka'wakw culture the Raven is known as the messenger of the sky and famous for being a somewhat mischievous glutton. He's always out to please himself and to have a good time. He's very adventurous.
