so beautiful, solid piece of wood, washed light blue which still allows the wood and the grain to come through. The carving is as always close to perfection and the expression, well, judge for yourself.... I just love this piece.
Measurements: 23" tall, 13 1/2" wide. the wood is 5 1/2" thick, hollowed out a bit at the back.

Meaning: Owls are very often seen as the bogeyman. The story goes that children have to be kept inside at night and are told not to cry too much because otherwise the owl may carry them away.
