What an incredible piece of Art - I'm trying to show lots of close-up images, but they just don't do it justice...
Mother Owl with little Baby Owl on one side, designed, hand carved, hand painted and signed by an incredibly talented young artist, a member of the Hunt Family - John Henry
Please appreciate the detailed carving. This is truly incredible superb craftsmanship. John Henry spent so much time in designing, carving, painting his pieces of art - you can clearly see how much he love's it.
The mask is hand carved out of a gorgeous yellow cedar. On the right side of the mask you can see the baby owl's face, so adorable and detailed, across on the other side you can see a little mouse, On top, with it's legs adorning the face of the owl is the supernatural frog. I love the painting and choice of color on the piece. The red accent above the gray and black gives it the little extra touch. To finish it off, it's decorated with the traditional cedar bark, some feathers and red cedar rope - fabulous!!!
