Mother Whale with her newborn white baby calf by Nootka (Nuuh-chah-nulth) First Nation artist Brian Bob
This piece is so adorable... and the white baby made the news, not to long ago here on our Pacific Northwest Coast. Rare and mesmerizing, well, and just beautiful. The carving is stunning, highest quality, just like always and easy recognizable as Brian's piece of art. He used Sitka Spruce, stained the mother whale in dark gray and the baby in whashed white, still showing the beautiful grain of the wood. Fully hand made, authentic and unique. Made and prepared for wall hanging, signed at the back with his carved Initial.
Measurements: 32" tall, 11" wide, 1 1/2" thick
