Beautiful!!
Truly highest quality - beautiful piece of authentic Indigenous art by late First Nation artist Harry T. Williams from the Huu-ay-aht First Nations (Ditidath tribe)
You can clearly see how much Harry loved this art. The carving is superb - red cedar, hand carved, hand painted, just have a look at the knife-marks which are clearly visibly under the paint. So much work!! Harry painted the mask in traditional colors, green black and red, very powerful. He added cedar to it and it just adds so much to the expression. Have a close look at the carving, it's really deep. The mask is dated 1999 but it's in fabulous condition - some very minor signs of aging, mostly on the cedar bark - a fantastic piece to add to any serious collection. Don't hesitate, I have a feeling this one will move fast....
