New design!!!!!
Fabulous model DANCE PADDLE, showing the WOLF design by First Nations artist Sarah Robertson
hand carved, hand painted wooden paddle. These kind of paddles are quite important and used in most ceremonies. This is a model, but I'm enclosing a picture so you can see a paddle similar "in action", danced!
The carving is simply fabulous, clearly done by an artist who loves her art. Every time I meet Sarah, she is surprising me with new designs and new ideas - just so incredible. Also, you can clearly see her experience - the lines are getting cleaner and cleaner, the painting is close to perfection and she clearly has a fabulous eye for design while keeping tradition and history in mind.
Hand painted in simple black and red. Carved on one side, signed at the back.
Measurements: 36" x 5 1/2" x 1"
Meaning: The Wolf represents loyalty, strong family ties, good communication, education, understanding and intelligence. Of all land animals, the Wolf has the strongest supernatural powers and is the most accomplished hunter. The Wolf is a very social and communicative creature; he uses body movement, touch and sound.
