Kingfisher by Heiltsuk First Nation artist Charles George Sr., originating from Bella Bella, British Columbia, Canada

Painted beautiful in copper and black, then stained, wonderful and playful expression, the carving lines are clean and detailed. You can clearly see the knife marks in the carving, absolutely everything on this piece is fully hand made, carving, painting, design - really nice. prepared for wall hanging, signed at the back.

Measurements: 14" x 5 1/2" x 1/2"  

Meaning: Kingfisher is generally viewed positively, as a messenger and a sign of good luck to come. Kingfisher are very bold in their actions, the kingfisher will dive headlong into the water to catch small fish. It teaches us how to plunge into the unknown with confidence and not with fear. It is a symbol for success and prosperity
