Large, impressive, gorgeous
Mother Killer Whale with calf, jumping - hand carved, hand painted, designed and signed by Sarah Daniels from Kingcome Inlet, a member of the Kwakiulth First Nation
This is one of the largest Whales Sarah' carved so far and the design is truly beautiful, showing the female touch.
The little calf is jumping together with mother whale, the carving lines are very clean, very detailed. She truly put a lot of love and attention to detail into this piece. Fabulous Indigenous art. Signed at the back. She painted in black and red and applied a light brown stain to accentuate the natural grain in the wood. Have a close look at the images please, I'm providing close-ups.
