Killer Whale!! Highest quality craftsmanship by Indigenous Artist Howard LaFortune Jr., a member of the Coast Salish First Nation
Beautiful, hand carved and hand painted, gorgeous red cedar, clean lines, fabulous colors. Very rich in expression, playful and alive.... Howard is really putting all his love and so much work into his art. The carving is superb, this whale is a real gem! Comes with hanger already attached, made for wall hanging, signed and dated at the back. Beautiful Indigenous Art from the North American First Nations. I love the way he carved the whale into the "frame", also the little details, e.g. did you see the little lines on the Whale's belly? I asked Howard about them and he said: "It's a bull, he shows some battle wounds"...
Measurements: 18 x 12" x 1"
