fully hand carved and hand painted by Randy Stiglitz, Indigenous artist from the Coast Salish First Nations and his wife, Janice Morin (Cree) both now living on the Pacific Northwest Coast.
Eagle Mask
This mask is truly attractive, the grain and color of the wood (alder) is shown and just gives a beautiful background to the clean and vibrant painting. Randy and Janice are just an awesome match and are working together as a team for many many years. And it shows!
The mask is decorated with cedar bark and already prepared for wall hanging, hanger attached. Signed and dated on the inside.
Measurements: 10 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 8"
Meaning: Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost. Eagle feathers are used in the most important ceremonies, a display of respect, courage, Chieftainship and wisdom
