Large SEAL with Salmon spirit wall art carving by Indigenous artist Brian Bob from the Nootka First Nation
This piece truly is incredible, powerful presence, inlaid with abalone (mother of pearl). Brian signed it at the back. Brian pays so much attention to details and the cuts are so deep and clean, it clearly shows his many many years of experience and his talent for this art. Stained in a light gray. Just a gorgeous piece of Indigenous Art from the Pacific Northwest, the sitka spruce just has a beautiful grain. The images don't do it justice.
Measurements: 20" x 8 1/2" x 1/2"
Meaning: The Seal is a symbol for curiosity, creativity and imagination, they teach us to embrace our natural sense of explorations and playfulness. They can dive to incredible depths so are known to be fearless and agile creatures, very trusting and playful.
