by Kwakiutl First Nation artist Sarah Daniels (nee Robertson) - originating from Kingcome Inlet, a small town on the Pacific Northwest Coast of British Columbia. 

Beautiful piece of pine wood, guaranteed hand carved, fully knife finished, hand painted and decorated with abalone. 

Sarah carved deep lines, very clean, used traditional colors red and black - very powerful in contrast to the beautiful yellow of the pine. 

Measurements: 10" diameter, 1" thick

Made and prepared for wall hanging, signed at the back. 

Meaning: The Moon is associated with transformation since it controls the tides and illuminates the dark. It is seen as a guardian spirit.
