Hand carved and hand painted RAVEN Mask - has a hanger attached for wall hanging. It's articulated - rich expression!!!

Carved to perfection by Alfred Robertson, adorned with lots of traditional cedar bark which is so much work to collect and treat and cut before it can be used, the beak can be closed and opened through a thin lining. Just think about the work and many hours the artist put into this piece. It's also adorned with colored dark red cedar bark rope. Nice clapping sound!!

Measurements:20 " long, 21" high, 8" wide (measuren incl. the cedar bark) (51 x 54 x 20 cm)

Meaning The Raven is known to be the transformer, trickster and creator. In the Kwakwaka'wakw culture the Raven is known as the messenger of the sky and famous for being a somewhat mischievous glutton. He's always out to please himself and to have a good time. He's very adventurous.
