What a Beauty!

Kwakiulth Feast Bowl - showing the SEAL - by master artist Jackson Robertson from Kingcome Inlet, BC

solid piece of wood from the cedar tree, stained in dark brown and polished to accentuate the natural grain of the wood. The eyes are inlaid with Abalone (Mother of pearl) which gives the piece a really outstanding expression. Jackson painted in traditional black and red - truly nice!!! The carving lines are VERY clean - truly carved to perfection by a master of this art.

The Seal is a symbol for curiosity, creativity and imagination, they teach us to embrace our natural sense of explorations and playfulness. They can dive to incredible depths so are known to be fearless and agile creatures, very trusting and playful.

Measurements: 16 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" (42 x 14 x 14 cm)
