WOLF
by the Artist Rupert Jeffrey from the Gitskan First Nation.l He truly pays so much attention to details. The cut-out of this piece is masterfully done, have a look at the little guys riding on top of the wolf's back. It shows the Baby wolf, playing or hanging on to the baby whale while the raven dancer is in front of them, dancing and protecting them. This piece is hand carved and hand painted on solid red cedar, traditional colors used black and red, signed and dated at the back, ready for wall hanging - this piece is so impressive, it surely makes every room!
Meaning: The Wolf symbolizes education, understanding and intelligence. He is the most accomplished hunter in the animal kingdom, yet very social and communicative.
Measurements: 40" long, 20" tall, 1 1/2" thick (102 x 51 x 4 cm)
