Really excellent craftsmanship!!! VERY deep cuts, so detailed! Beautifully dark stain applied, then polished to accentuate the natural grain of the pine. It's not carved at the back but signed with carved initials
Measurements: 16" x 5" x 1 1/2" (ca. 41 x 13 x 4 cm)
Meaning: The Salmon symbolizes prosperity, renewal and fertility. They are one of the most important and highest respected animals of all since they have been the primary food source from the beginning of time to the Northwest Coast First Nations.

Gino Seward was born in 1972 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. He is of both Coast Salish (father) and Kwakwaka’wakw (mother) descent. Gino began carving at the age of eleven and was taught by his Salish grandfather and by the Kwakiutl...Artist bio and other available works »
