Black Mother LOON with BABY, what a great expression!

wall panel by Nootka Master artist Brian Bob - it's free standing and looks fabulous e.g. standing on the fireplace mantle - but also looks great on the wall

The eyes are inlaid with Abalone, beautifully dark, almost black stain, still accentuating the natural grain of the wood (yellow cedar, flat grain).

Very deep carving, gorgeous flow, superb craftsmanship!! Signed at the back - just a powerful statement piece, depicting love and patience. So detailed.

Measurements: 21" x 9" x 1 1/2" (53.5 x 23 x 4 cm)

Meaning: The Loon symbolizes serenity and tranquility. They teach us to listen to and learn from our dreams, because if you believe in them, the might come true and your hopes and wishes will be fulfilled.
