Hand carved, stained in light brown to accentuate the natural grain of the pine - just a gorgeous piece of Art by the Kwagiulth First Nations Master Artist Sarah Robertson. 

EAGLE with SALMON SPIRIT - wall panel

signed (not carved) at the back. Very deep cuts, so very clean lines and very detailed. She clearly shows the love for this art. 

Meaning: The Eagle symbolizes grace, power and great intellect. It is a sacred and noble creature representing power and prestige to the First Nations people of the Northwest Coast. It symbolizes wisdom and has a special and direct connection to the creator. Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication.
