What a find!!!!

OLD, authentic, original and just a rare piece of Indigenous Art

MOON Mask by the Kwagiulth First Nations Artist Wayne Alfred - dated 1987

Very unusual - the rim is made of 2 pieces of old growth red cedar, held together with leather strings - the Moon face is also mounted on top, but no nails or srews were used - only leather - the rim is also adorned with ermines. Ermines are often used on chief's regalia, headdresses, blankets etc. - very important!!

Have a look at the powerful face expression - a wonderful piece!

Measurements: 17" (43 cm) diameter
