Majestic and powerful THUNDERBIRD Totem Pole by Rick Thomas

This piece is dated 1995, showing the Thunderbird with the wings wide open, it's carved all around - a real masterpiece of Indigenous Art. Hand carved and hand painted out of wood from the cedar tree, acrylic paint, clean and so very deep lines

Measurements: 14" x 4 1//2" x 4 1/2" 

Meaning: The Thunderbird symbolizes supernatural power and is believed to be the  dominating force behind all of natures doings. It's a mythical creature and only the most prestigious and powerful Chiefs are allowed to have the Thunderbird as a crest especially among the Kwagiulth, Nuu-Chah-Nulth and Coast Salish people
